Last month we welcomed aboard yoga teacher, sailing enthusiast and adventurer, Ashleigh Bridget, aka The Sailing Yogi, for a day sail around the Whitsunday Islands. Accompanied by Christophe and friend Murray, The Sailing Yogi (and her friend Raven) set sail for Armit Island on the biggest and most luxurious vessel in our fleet – The Dufour 56. So, what happens when a yogi and a former professional racing yachtsman spend the day together? Story-telling, lunching and acro-yoga play of course!
DUFOUR 56: THE ULTIMATE LUXURY YACHT CHARTER
The Sailing Yogi knows a fair bit about boats and sailing. She spent her childhood jumping off her father’s boat, snorkelling, swimming and adventuring on beaches, and after university, she worked as a host/deckhand on power boats in the Whitsundays for many years. With her love for all things sailing, we were certainly keen to hear The Sailing Yogi’s thoughts on the Dufour 56. We’re pleased to report out beautiful vessel did not disappoint: “Vanilla 2 is one of those boats that boasts the luxury of things like; cushioned seats, full size fridges and air-conditioning. It’s the kind of boat where you could happily spend the day on without leaving (aka the dream).”
Other standout features of the Dufour 56 include three bedrooms, three ensuites, BBQ, Saloon and “lots of space to do things – like reading, yoga, snacking etc.” She wasn’t kidding about space to do yoga either. Check out the video for a virtual of the incredible Dufour 56 and all the acro-yoga action. Christophe’s friend Murray (looking incredible at 71!) gets involved too. Watch to the end to see him flying!
